Cellar is a great way to manage your wine collection. Its not just a bland list of names and vintages - its a proper cellar! Browsing your wine collection is like looking at the real thing.

Customize each bottle based on:
• shape of bottle
• colour of glass
• bottle top
• wine label

Add information about each one, such as:
• Wine Producer
• Vintage
• Grape (including blends)
• Name
• Region
• Type
• Price
• Personal notes
• Pairings
• Drink from and by…
• Personal star rating
• 100 pt wine scores

Locations
--------
Cellar is more than just a Cellar. Its a Garage, Wishlist and Trash skip as well! Finished a bottle? Move it to the Garage for future reference if you enjoyed it. Didnt like it? Move it to the trash, where you can locate it later if need be. What about wine that youve been recommended or tasted in a restaurant? Enter it straight into your Wishlist and then move to the Cellar when you eventually purchase it.

Portrait mode
------------
Sometimes viewing your wine in the landscape mode is not ideal. Simply tap the portrait mode button (top right) and youll see a list view of your wines in all four locations.

Search and Sort
-------------
You can search for wine based on any of the data youve entered, as well as sort your entire collection based on: Type, Region, Vintage, Price or Rating. Search and Sort are available in both landscape and portrait modes too!

Backup/Restore/Merge
-------------------
Worried about losing all that info youve entered? Use our backup feature to keep a .cellar file copy on your computer. Meanwhile, Merge allows people in the same household to enter half their Cellars each on separate devices, and then merge them both to create a complete database!

Email individual bottles
--------------------
This feature is pretty nifty. Youve heard of emailing wine info to friends in other apps havent you? Well this is different. When you email bottles in Cellar, youre actually emailing the bottle itself, not just some info about it. The recipient simply taps the link provided in the email and the whole bottle is downloaded into their Cellar, shape, glass color, label image, notes and all!

Other features
------------
• Statistics on your wine collection
• Quicknote and Quickpair menus for fast data entry
• Popups for grape varieties, producers, etc
• Shake to choose - If you cant pick a bottle to drink, give your device a quick shake when viewing your collection and Cellar will choose a bottle for you!

Pros and cons of Cellar app for iPhone and iPad

Cellar app good for

Simple, easy and VERY good! The feature of puting the actual label on the "virtual" bottle is a nice touch!
I like this app a lot. Its the best in App Store. The team is working on major updates so I would expect many improvements soon. I have been using this app for more than a month and my Cellar is taking shape! All of my wines are very organized and I can make track of them. It is really great! There is no other app with similar functionalities AND a great GUI as this one.
Would be 5 stars if I could link it to a pc based version. That would make it easier to load data & notes from the Internet ( I hate typing ). I really like the idea of being able to take my wine list everywhere with me.
Love it but I wish the data would be accessible jointly by my iPhone & iPad!
Its a good tool to manage your wine, but this is my missing points for a five stars rating. - more colors and shape for the bottles/lids. - A bar code scanner to pull out the wine information from an internet database. - the apps should be linked to the internet, to use the scanner option, but also to give more information about the wine. Like the window of drinking or some of the information not written on the bottles.
A must have for anybody who likes wine, buys wine, drinks wine or makes wine! I use it to track all 4 and love it! The only thing that could improve it is web linked tasting notes but still the best wine Cellar app out there!

Some bad moments

Too many bells and whistle. Too many entry lines, label uploads, etc...to many steps to enter your bottles. I wouldnt recommend this not worth the money. Id like to have and app that I can scan the bottle barcode and have it upload to a wine list, if this is what your looking for this app is not for you.
Overall a great app. At the same time, would like to see different bottle sizes and bottles (Riesling), closures (screw top) and better grouping of wines so that the wines from the same producer are all pictured together, not just by red or white. Also needs some major updating. Its been a year since the last update.
